Rachel Powell combines traditional textiles skills with the latest in modern fibres. This combination allows us to create some truly exceptional and individual pieces. Each garment is made with love and healing for every person involved in its lifetime. From the use of organic cotton and fair trade fabrics to the reiki healing that is placed into our yarns and fibres to promote the well being of our customers. Garments are produced and hand made specifically on a customer’s request, ensuring limited production runs and exclusivity. We love to push the boundaries with eco fibres and all garments include textiles unique to the label. Due to the hand made processes involved each garment is as individual as the person who wears it.

Idelic draws inspiration from the conceptual work of Rachel Powell. The “every day” fashion pieces capture both the innovative design and traditional textiles. Incorporating various elements of eco and ethical fashion design every piece is produced with great care by hand ensuring a high level of finish. By choosing not to follow trends we create garments that are intended to be worn and loved for a lifetime.

Venetia Red is a community based project ran in the north east that aims to encourage, nurture, promote and help the growth of enterprise within new graduates. Venetia Red offers graduates the opportunity to manage a design project independently from initial concept right through to the sale of the garment. Graduates have a one off opportunity to see what it is like to run their own fashion label with the support of an experienced mentor. All designs created for the label are hand printed and hand embellished one off pieces that are totally unique and Limited Edition. What makes this label truly special is the diverse change in each collection to reflect each graduate’s style and textiles specialism.
